Early Am. Glass & Lighting w/the Mackle Coll.

Featuring part one of the outstanding 30-year collection of Larry & Sandy Mackle of Bloomfield Hills, MI including over 50 pieces purchased at the legendary William J. Elsholz auctions in 1986 & 1987, along with a large group of material formerly in the collection of Dr. E. R. Eller, long-time curator at the Carnegie Museum in Pittsburgh, PA, that has descended in his family. In addition, this auction will include deaccessioned material from the Sandwich Glass Museum, choice selections from the collection of Ken Lyon, as well as other important private consignments. This sale is comprised of rare free-blown, pillar, & pattern-molded wares; a large & outstanding collection of colored flint vases, whale oil/fluid lamps, candlesticks, & compotes; a fine selection of colored cologne bottles; two rare Trevaise vases; a wide variety of decanters; pressed lacy including rare colored salts; a large collection of cup plates; cut overlay articles; a fine selection of whimsies & witch balls; early bottles & flasks; an extremely rare bound volume of five original 1893 US Glass Co. trade catalogues; etc. A color catalogue will be published and available in early May at a cost of $30 plus tax and postage as applicable.
