Early American Pattern Glass
Session One of this cataloged auction will feature part two of the Larry & Sandy Mackle collection of Bloomfield Hills, MI; the collection of the late Olive Alder of Boonsboro, Md; selections from the collection of Stephen H. Chapman of Shady Side, MD; the collection of Elizabeth Clatterbuck of Waynesboro, VA; material deaccessioned by the Sandwich Glass Museum, Sandwich, MA; along with additional collections from Pennsylvania, Vermont, and Ohio. This Session will comprise of over 1,500 pieces of flint and non-flint tableware, with most stemware selling in Session Two on Sunday. Flint will include Diamond Thumbprint, Early Thumbprint/Argus, Horn of Plenty, New England Pineapple, Washington and Bellflower. Non-flint will include an extremely rare Canton House covered compote, Log Cabin, US Coin, Jumbo, colorless King's Crown, ruby-stained Broken Column, Heart with Thumbprint, Bird & Strawberry, and Mardi Gras/D&M No. 42, an extremely rare Mascotte 4" apothecary jar and stacking jars, plus much more.
Session Two will be comprised of over 2,200 flint and non-flint stems, including more than 1,800 goblets, along with champagnes, wines, and cordials. Well over 300 individual lots including Fine Rib with Bell flower Border, Harp, Sandwich Star, Diamond Thumbprint, various Fine Rib with cut decoration, unrecorded clear Dolphin, Dragon, Grant & Wilson, Beaver Band, etc. The remainder will be sold in multi-item lots.
