Concept Art Gallery presents our Fall Modern and Contemporary Art and Design Auction: Saturday, October 16th beginning at 10AM. Featuring Danish Furniture, Modern Design, Lighting, Fine Art and African Tribal Objects from The Estate of Diana Caplan. Diana Caplan was the founder and owner of The Studio Shop, Pittsburgh’s first gallery of modern furniture and design for over 40 years. The Studio Shop operated in downtown Pittsburgh from the late 1940’s, migrated to Highland Avenue in Shadyside and later to Carnegie, PA. The sale also includes a fantastic art and furniture collection from The Estate of Millie and Dr. Leonard Schwartz. Millie was a professional interior designer who brought good taste into the homes of many Pittsburghers. Also selling a collection of interesting paintings and objects by naïve and self-taught artists.
