BLACK SUNDAY AUCTION

SAVE THE DATE: BLACK SUNDAY is coming! Bid On Fine Rugs NY's Unique Vintage and Antique Rugs from the Comfort of Home Move over Black Friday! There's no need to get up early the morning after Thanksgiving and battle through swarms of shoppers this year because you are cordially invited to bid on an exclusive selection of antique and vintage rugs from the comfort of your home at Fine Rugs NY's special BLACK SUNDAY online auction. Coming under the auctioneer's hammer are hundreds of fine rugs ranging from sprawling area carpets made by Persian master weavers in the 19th century to decorative French tapestries. These hand-woven works all come from the collection of Victor Mashihi, proprietor of Fine Rugs NY in Manhattan. For over a century since Victor's grandfather Moussa opened his first store in Cairo, the Mashihi family has collected the most finely made rugs from across the Middle East, North Africa, Asia, and Europe, and dealt them to royalty and discerning enthusiasts alike. The Black Sunday auction will feature works fit to every style, medium, size, and price point, with starting bids ranging from the low hundreds to the tens of thousands of dollars. Styles from across the globe will be catered to with everything from hand-knotted Serapi rugs to vintage Swedish wall hangings. Bidding will kick off November 28, the Sunday after the Thanksgiving holiday-the perfect occasion to acquire new home decorations and truly exceptional gifts for friends and family before the winter holidays. And unlike so many expensive gifts that are soon forgotten, a fine rug well situated at home can, as Marie Kondo puts it, spark joy day after day, year after year. Participants will be welcome to place starting bids prior to the Black Sunday auction if they so choose. Those with inquiries about the Black Sunday event may contact Mr. Mashihi.
