Marilyn Monroe - The New York Years

First-ever auction of Marilyn Monroe images from the estate of legendary photographer Sam Shaw, Marilyn's close friend and publicist for the film "The Seven Year Itch". The legacy of his talent is evident throughout his 1950's and 60's photojournalistic essays and his documentation of icon figures of cinema, art, literature, sports and music. Because of his special relationship with Marilyn, he was able to photograph her in private moments, by herself and with husbands Joe DiMaggio and Arthur Miller.
