The Sale: Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 11AM at the International Poster Center 601 West 26th Street (between 11th & 12th Avenues), 13th Floor, New York City.

SPECIAL CASSANDRE EXHIBITION

The 45 Cassandre Posters in this sale will be on exhibition from Friday, October 8 to Sunday, October 24. This will be the largest show of the master's work ever exhibited.

THE FIVE STARS: CAPPIELLO (38 posters and 3 maquettes - yes, all his classics are here); CHERET (38 posters spanning 40 years); CASSANDRE (45 of the Art Deco master's finest); MUCHA (20 Art Nouveau gems); TOULOUSE-LAUTREC (Half of his entire poster output is on display: 15 masterpieces of poster art).

SOME THEMES: Avant-Garde (Dada images and works of the Schwitters, Tschichold, Hofman and the Stenberg Bros.); Film Posters (includes a rare 1930 Mickey Mouse); Show Posters (11 circus, 5 Buffalo Bill, 13 Magic, such as Houdini, Blackstone, Thurston, Carter, and Chung-Ling Soo); Mele (8 Italian fashion posters).
