The conditions below are the terms and conditions on which all property is offered for sale. While bidding at auction, in person, absentee or through LiveAuctioneers, the buyer agrees to be bound by these terms. Your bid is a contract. All items are sold to the highest bidder as acknowledged by the auctioneer. We record and video tape every auction we conduct, that recording of the final sale price shall be final. All sales are final. Condition Reports - We will do our best to respond to condition report requests, please realize that we set up for our auction the day before the event. Therefore we do not always have access to items prior to sale day. Many of the items are packed in boxes and are simply inaccessible The absence of a condition statement does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of aging. Most of the items we sell are OLD and will have imperfections pursuant to age. It is the responsibility of prospective bidders (or their agents) to examine lots in person, Condition reports will be provided to the best of our ability. We are a small auction company and we cannot always answer every question that you may ask. Statements in the catalog including weights sizes and are approximations. We will not be held responsible for errors and omissions within our catalog. Absentee & Phone Bidding - Please contact us prior to the sale to arrange for absentee or phone bidding. Absentee and phone bids will be executed as a courtesy and a convenience to our valued customers; however, Carl W. Stinson Inc. will not be responsible for any errors or failure to execute bids. Some items offered may be subject to a reserve, which is the confidential minimum price below which such lot will not be sold. Buyers' Premium - A 15 % buyers' premium will be charged for in house purchases, which are paid for and removed the day of the auction. An 18% buyers' premium will be added to the price of each lot sold via The Internet, Telephone and absentee bid. Sales Tax - Buyer's not having a Commonwealth of Massachusetts Resale certificate are required to pay sales tax (6.25%) on the total sales price, including the buyer's premium. Payment - The purchaser is legally responsible for payment. Payment must be received from absentee, phone or internet bidders within SEVEN Business Days after sale. Payments accepted are cash, at The Auction Only, Cashier's check, Business Check, wire transfers, Personal Check, if you are known to us. We reserve the right to hold property until checks clear.
