Biology professor Dr. Leland Keller was a very passionate collector of Medical, Scientific and Mechanical Antiques. He had an equal degree of passion for the alter ego of science and medicine – the age-old practice of medical quackery. When staging exhibits and delivering lectures on Quack Medical Devices and their “inventorsâ€, Dr. Keller would draw upon his extensive collection of antiques to demonstrate some of the questionable procedures that have been foisted upon the believing public. Now the time has come for his family to send Dr. Keller’s complete 30-year collection to auction for sale to the highest bidder. Highlights will include: Magic Lanterns & Movie Projectors, 1870-1920 Silent Movie Cinema Projectors Antique Medical Apparatus Antique Dental Apparatus Antique Apothecary Items Antique Cameras Early Electrical Items Ornate Antique Roller Organ Phonographs and Cylinder Music Boxes Magic Lantern Slides and Stereo Cards Period Books and Pamphlets on Electro-therapy An Extensive Collection of Quack Medical Apparatus both Large and Small An online catalog is available although many items will be sold un-catalogued as well. Phone absentee and live Internet bidding are available.
