Design for the Home & Garden

The 27 March Design for the Home and Garden auction features significant and varied private collections and estates and provides a rich selection for discerning buyers. A private Hancock Park collection includes an extraordinary suite of seven epic allegorical paintings by the acclaimed French trained American muralist Edwin Howland Blashfield. This collection embodies an Old-World baronial aesthetic with Renaissance and Baroque furniture and objects. Additional highlights from the other end of the artistic spectrum include works by Thomas Buttersworth, Laura Coombs Hills, Dan Lutz, Henri Manguin, Louise Nevelson, Pablo Picasso, Konstantin Andreevich Somov, Louis Valtat among others. The sale also includes fine jewelry by Van Cleef and Arpels and David Webb, porcelain, silver, carpets and more.
