This auction will feature trains from the Estate of William J. Bateman, TCA #63-977 Part I. William was an avid collector and was known for his extensive collection of American Flyer prewar O gauge and wide gauge, Overland Flyer and Hafner. His detailed knowledge and fascination with variations is evident by viewing his collection containing many scarce examples. This is a very diverse sale featuring many manufacturers including Lionel prewar O and standard gauge, Lionel postwar, Lionel Classics and Modern Era, Ives, American Flyer S gauge, Bing, Dorfan, reproduction tin toys, Franklin Mint and die cast vehicles. The Lionel postwar will be highlighted by factory sealed 773 Hudsons, 2343 Santa Fe and accessories. The prewar is showcased by boxed sets, American Flyer Presidential sets, Lionel standard gauge and O gauge Blue Comets, No. 5 and 6 early steam locos, gray and black 400E locos.
