American Hist. Ephemera & Photography - S2
Hindman Auctions is proud to present the Civil War and American Militaria Collection of Bruce B. Hermann on June 22. With an extensive background in American and Western European military history, Hermann has become a well-respected specialist in military antiques. He owns and operates Grenadier Military Antiques Auctions and has more than 30 years of experience collecting and dealing in 16th - 20th century militaria. Hermann also served as an appraiser on the PBS series "The Antiques Roadshow" for 11 seasons. His personal passion for history and American militaria is reflected in the remarkable quality and breadth of the collection offered here. Noted military artist, scholar, and collector Don Troiani best describes Hermann and his carefully curated collection:
Hindman strives to present historic materials in a manner that is respectful to all communities, providing descriptive contexts for objects where possible. The nature of historical ephemera is such that some material may represent positions, language, values and stereotypes that are not consistent with the values and practices at Hindman.
