20th WestLicht Photographica Camera Auction

Dear friends of WestLicht Photographica Auctions, we have again selected a variety of rare and original items of all eras of camera history. On the 12th of November many highlights can be discovered amongst the 650 lots at the 20th camera-auction at WestLicht, the biggest auction house for cameras worldwide: Leica I Mod.A Elmar 'Calfskin' from 1930 Very rare and absolutely original Leica Model A, with calfskin body-cover (LEANEKALB) with brown chequered pattern. Only 180 examples of the calfskin Leicas were produced in 1930/31. Of the brown chequered version only three examples are known to exist, none of the others in such good condition. Leica M3 no. 700006 This, apart from Leica M3 no.700001, is the earliest M3 camera known to exist, the body is in 100% original, never restored, perfect working condition, it has never been on the market before - a sensational discovery of Leica history! Leica MP black paint no. 28 An original and very rare black paint MP with patina of professional use, in perfect working order with black Leicavit MP. Shanghai Red Flag 20 outfit Extremely rare Chinese Leica M4 copy (less than 200 were produced by direct order of the government, none were sold to the public) with all three matching lenses: 1.4/35mm, 1.4/50mm, 2/90mm, all in original black leather RED FLAG outfit case with red velvet inlet. NASA Hasselblad 500 EL Mooncamera Early modified 500 EL/M with black anodised finish, produced for the Apollo Lunar missions. All in all only 29 cameras of this kind have been produced. At least 15 of them were left behind on the moon, as the astronauts just took the film cassettes back with them. Glamour-Cartier Polaroid One of only four cameras made by Polaroid in co-operation with Cartier, the Polaroid Image is 22 carat gold lined in three characteristic Cartier gold tones with a Sapphire on top, handle, small strap, original Cartier red box. The camera comes with the original Cartier-box it was presented in.
