American Mid Century Lunch Box Auction

Close to 400 1950s through the 1980s Lunch Boxes, matching hot soup thermos bottles and extra bottles are being offered from The Estate of James Hines of Lenoir City, Tenn. Mr. Hines began collecting lunch boxes as a 14 year old when his Mother packed and sent him to school daily with a really good, homemade lunch. The family owned a grocery store and Mrs. Hines was an excellent cook. From his start as a child, he added to the collection throughout his lifetime. Most of the boxes are in really good condition and are in as found condition with minor attempts made to touch up or match paint to the surface. Most of these attempts to match have been noted in the description but if you have a specific question about a specific box, please contact us and ask.
