TERMS OF SALE 1. All items are sold as is, where is. All items are available for preview prior to the sale at the indicated preview times; use this time for your own evaluation. By bidding, you are signifying that you have examined the item as fully as you desire to or that you have chosen not to examine the item. Written and oral descriptions are our opinions and should not be interpreted as a guarantee. All weights and measurements are approximate. The antique market is replete with reproductions, fakes, etc., and we will call attention to these items as they are known to us. We will also call attention to chips, repairs, and other pertinent information as we can. If there is a question in your mind about a particular item, we suggest that you do not bid since we do not give refunds. Statements made by Shelley's Auction Gallery,its employees, or its contracted workers shall not be considered a warranty by Shelley's Auction Gallery or any consignor to the auction. GOLD WEIGHTS ARE RECORDED AS TOTAL WEIGHT OF THE ITEM INCLUDING GEMSTONES, ETC. 2. Items which are being shipped must be paid in full before they will be released. Buyer is responsible for all shipping, packing, and insurance fees. All shipping and packing is contracted out. For this reason, shipping costs are non-negotiable. If paying by personal check or money order, the check or money order must clear before merchandise will be shipped. EVERY ATTEMPT IS MADE TO SHIP ITEMS QUICKLY; HOWEVER, DUE TO THE LARGE VOLUME OF ITEMS BEING SHIPPED, IT MAY TAKE 3 WEEKS TO RECEIVE YOUR MERCHANDISE AFTER PAYMENT IS RECEIVED. 3. A 15% buyer's premium will be added to items purchased through the internet services of Live Auctioneers. 4. The auctioneer is the arbiter of any disputed bid. The auctioneer may reopen bidding at his discretion and may reject bids deemed inappropriate. If an item is withdrawn from the auction, it may be offered again only at the discretion of the auctioneer. 5. Absentee bids and phone bids are executed competitively. Although every effort is made by the auctioneer to execute all bids, including floor, absentee, telephone, and internet bids, we are not responsible for any missed bids. 6. This is not an absolute or unreserved auction. The auctioneer reserves the right to remove any item from the sale. He may refuse a bid if it is not a sufficient advance over the previous bid or he may reject any bid which he believes would be harmful to the item being offered. Some items may be sold subject to owner approval. 7. If items are picked up by the purchaser, the items must be paid for prior to pick up. Items will be released from the pick-up area, only with a paid statement. 8. Payment must be made by Paypal, cash, approved check, VISA, or MasterCard unless prior arrangements are made. Items paid by personal checks are held for 10 days. Please do not pay until the final invoice is sent which will include the buyer's premium and shipping/packing. 9. We will be available for pick up following the auction. Please call for times of availability. 10. Auctioneer's liability to the buyer resulting in loss or damage shall not exceed the bid amount plus buyer's premium. 11. Any announcement made by the Auctioneer on the day of sale may supersede the terms of sale written herein.

Sales tax of 6.75% applies to local pick up or shipping within the state of North Carolina unless a Tax ID number is provided.
