HISTORICAL MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS & ANTIQUES

THE COLLECTION OF PROF. DR RUDOLF EWERHART (1928-2022) Since 1982, Rudolf Ewerhart and his wife Helene lived in the late Baroque Burghaus Wassenach near Lake Laacher, the noble residence of the Knights of Kolb built between 1772 and 1775. Parallel to the extensive renovation of the manor house, he built up one of the most important private collections of historical keyboard instruments in Germany and since 1996 he has held exclusive concerts of the series ?Musik im Burghaus Wassenach? in the hall of the house, often focusing on newly acquired or newly restored instruments from the collection.
