After 33 years of business, David Spivey is closing his doors and going out of business. David Spivey has been buying, selling and appraising old maps, rare books and fine art in Kansas City since 1978. Over the years, Spivey's in Westport grew to be the largest old map, print and book dealer in the Midwest and was named 'Best Western Bookstore' in Missouri by True West magazine's Third Annual Best Of The West 2004 celebration. Now the building has been sold and all must be liquidated. This process will begin in mid-December with fun and simple online bidding.
