200 years old Doctor's Library
200 years of books, the majority of them covered in years of dust; from a historical colonial estate of a doctor in Upstate New York. It has to be the best library of books we have come across and had the pleasure of selling in 40 years of being in the antique and collectible business. Many of the books are in wonderful condition, with a few exceptions. One and a half rooms were filled floor to ceiling with the literature, plus more in the attic. The home itself was built in 1740 and was the residence of an old-time doctor. Some of the highlight books are exceptional, with gold gilt embossing, hand enhanced illustration works and beautiful plating! Due to the size of the collection, we will be selling select books in lots and others individually.
