1. By registering to bid, receiving a bidder number, and/or placing a bid, you agree to accept and be bound by the terms and conditions of sale, as well as any amendments to the terms and conditions made orally by the auctioneer at the time and place of sale. 2. We make every effort to accurately describe each item, however, all property is sold AS IS, and we make NO guarantees, warranties, or representations, expressed or implied, with respect to the property or correctness in any catalog or other description of authenticity of authorship, genuineness, attribution, period, culture, source, origin, year, manufacturer, model, physical condition, size, quality, rarity, importance, provenance, exhibitions, literature, or historical relevance of the property or otherwise. No statement anywhere, whether oral or written, shall be deemed as a guarantee, warranty, or representation. Prospective bidders should inspect the property before bidding. 3. Your bid is a legally binding contract. 4. All sales are final. No refunds or credits will be issued. 5. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer will be the purchaser. The auctioneer's decisions as to disputed or tie bids will be final. 6. A buyers premium of 20% will be in effect on all lots won through LiveAuctioneers. Virginia residents are charged a 5.3% sales tax unless a valid tax exempt number is provided. 7. Payment can be made by Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover card, or wire transfer. Savannah Street reserves the right to hold all merchandise until funds clear. If you have not contacted Savannah Street to arrange payment within 72 hours of the invoice being sent, we will charge the credit card you used to register for the auction for the amount of your invoice. 8. Online purchases from Savannah Street may be subject to sales tax. If you are tax-exempt, you can submit your tax-exempt certificate to LiveAuctioneers.com in advance of the auction prevent the collection of tax. 9. The invoice must be paid in full and merchandise picked up or shipping arrangements made within 10 days of the date of sale. A storage fee will be charged if merchandise is left longer than 10 days. Any merchandise not removed within 30 days of the sale is considered abandoned, and the buyer loses all claims/titles to said merchandise. 10. Shipping: It is the buyer's ultimate responsibility to arrange for and pay for all shipping, insurance, and packaging supply costs for any items that you may win. It is strongly recommended that you get a shipping quote before bidding on items so that you can estimate the total cost. You must contact us within 72 hours of auction to let us know WHEN and HOW you plan to have your items shipped or picked up. If you have any questions as to the best way to transport your items, please contact us (preferably in advance of bidding) and we will be happy to assist you. Items may be shipped or picked-up in three different ways: 1) Local Pick Up: You may arrange to pick up your items in person in Charlottesville, VA. This is a multi-consignor auction and the locations and zip codes of items vary. If you would like to know the specific location of an item before purchasing it, please contact us. Items from this auction may be picked up May 2 - May 9, or earlier if funds have cleared. You must bring your own equipment and labor to move your items. There will not be employees to help you. 2) Small Item "In House" Shipping: Items that are small enough to fit in a box (and are not prohibitively heavy or fragile) can be shipped via UPS or FedEx through our shipping partner, Blue Ridge Pack and Ship. While Savannah Street does not ship items, we will transport your winning items to Blue Ridge Pack and Ship for you. If you win a small item and we do not hear from you within 72 hours, your item will be taken to Blue Ridge Pack & Ship to be shipped to you at your expense. This will require the buyer to contract with an independent shipper who can transport their item to their desired zip code. U-Ship uship.com U-ship is a third party marketplace where people looking to have items shipped can meet and contract with various carriers who will be traveling to their area. 11. Savannah Street Design & Antiques, the auctioneers, their agents, the owners of the premises, and all other persons for whom the auctioneer is acting shall not be liable to any person for damages to their person or property, or accidents, while in, on or about these premises, nor shall they be liable for hidden defects. All persons are on the premises at their own risks and shall defend, indemnify, and save harmless Savanah Street Design & Antiques, auctioneer and seller from any and all liability whatsoever.
