Apollo Art Auctions is delighted to present a beautifully curated summer auction of Ancient Art, Antiquities & Coins on the 23rd of July 2023. The catalogue encompasses a broad range of well-provenanced and expertly authenticated artefacts from Classical Europe, through Egypt and the Near East, as well as many treasures from Islamic Art, India and China. The sale is opened by a beautifully adorned and well preserved Egyptian mummy mask dating to the Late Ptolemaic period. The auction also features a large selection of wearable ancient jewellery, such as Lot 16: a Hellenistic solid gold ring with nude Aphrodite, Lot 27: a Roman Satyr Garnet Cameo in gold ring, and Lot 190: a Roman Carnelian Intaglio with Childbirth Scene in gold ring.
