RISD Museum Antique Toy Collection

Bruneau & Co. Auctioneers is proud to present the RISD Museum of Art Antique Toy Collection. Many of these objects were acquired by the museum during the time it maintained Carrington House in Providence as a sort of historic property. Part of the displays there involved toys and dolls for children to use and play. That ended in approx. 1960s and the material has been winnowed down since. Highlights include an attributed Wilhelm Schimmel Folk Art Dog and a Circa 1880 G.A. Schwarz Tin Horse Cart. This is an online only auction with preview available by appointment only the week before and day of auction.
