Returns: All items are final sale. Unless otherwise stated, all items are used. Please take the time to carefully read the description before purchasing. All statements contained in the online auction catalog or in any bill of sale, invoice, or elsewhere as to the authorship, quality, variety, provenance, importance, exhibition and literature of historical relevance or physical condition are qualified statements of opinion and not representative or warranties. If a buyer doubts the authenticity of an item, he/she has 30 days from the date of the sale to submit, at his own expense, an opinion in writing from a recognized expert, approved by housing Works and the purchaser, regarding authenticity. If the expert judges the item inauthentic, it may be returned in the same condition as at the time of sale and the buyer's full purchase price will be refunded. Refunds do not include the cost of transportation, shipping, insurance, or any other expenses that may be incurred by the buyer. It is the buyer's responsibility to pay in a timely fashion, such that the property can be released and inspected within the 30-day time frame. ALL MEASUREMENTS and WEIGHTS ARE APPROXIMATE. By bidding in the auction the buyer and all bidders agree to be bound by these terms or those changed and supplemented. In the event of any dispute between bidders, Housing Works shall have sole and final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the article in dispute. A reserve is the confidential minimum price established by Housing Works. If the lot does not reach its reserve the lot will be unsold. Some lots will have no reserve. Estimates are neither a representation nor prediction of the actual selling price that will be realized at the auction, post-auction sale, or upon resale. A buyer's premium of 20% will be applied to the purchase price of all the items. All items shipped out of state do not pay New York State taxes. If shipping items within the State of New York or picking them up from Showplace, regardless of your location, New York taxes will be applied. Only a valid resale certificate from any state as proof of exemption from New York sales tax is allowed. All payments from online bidders are due within 3 days of receipt of the invoice. Pick-up: Items in our auction are available for pick-up in lower Manhattan zip code. Shipments within the United States are sent Fedex Ground. They are all insured at the buyer's expense for the total cost, which includes the purchase price, buyer's premium, and taxes. Shipping prices include relevant handling and material costs. Please allow 48 hours for shipping and packing fees to be added to your invoice. Packing fees are based on a variety of factors including the lot's price, size, and material. Packing fees, and can be adjusted based on special requests. Buyers can use alternative shipping options at their expense. All items are shipped within 7 days of receipt of payment. Where did we get this stuff: "American Folk Art" was prompted by an anonymous donation. Where does your money go: All proceeds benefit Housing Works, which provides lifesaving services such as housing, medical care, meals and job training to homeless and low-income New Yorkers living with HIV/AIDS.
