August Grandeur 2023 - Day Three

Sunday will feature artwork by Fairfield Porter, Jamie Wyeth, Christiaan Beekman, Ron Walotsky, Rene Portocarrero, Oscar Dominguez, Stephen Scott Young, Diego Rivera, Waldo Peirce, and Wolf Kahn. This day will also offer important works by Maine artists, such as Robert Indiana?s complete ?Numbers? serigraph portfolio, and a 3-section painted folding screen by Dahlov Ipcar with 25 images of pug dogs. Other featured Maine artists will include William Irvine, Eric Hopkins, Stephen Etnier, William Zorach, William Thon, James Rivington Pyne, and Carroll Thayer Berry. On this day, we will sell 4 vintage automobiles, including a 1940 Plymouth Super Deluxe Business Coupe and 1962 Studebaker Gran Turismo Hawk. There will also be a 1920s era Louis Vuitton steamer trunk and 4 Ernest Hemingway first editions (three of them inscribed by the author,) and 70-lots of estate jewelry & watches, modern furniture items, and a wide selection of estate silver, and English sterling flatware.
