Block's Paperweight Auction #3

Live Online Auction with Absentee Bidding. 190 lots of Antique, Vintage and Modern Paperweights and Related Items. Paperweights from a variety of Consignors. Background: This is our third Paperweight Auction. Stanley Block, the founder of Block's Box (Block's Auctions predecessor company), was a paperweight collector before he became a marble collector. In 1990 and 1991, Block's Box held two absentee mail catalogue paperweight auctions. We then shifted our focus to our marble books for Schiffer Publishing, and to our marble auctions. We have occasionally included paperweights that came in on consignment into our marble auctions. Over the past year, we have received a growing number of paperweight consignments, including two small collections. Due to the volume received, we have decided to combine all these consignments into one Paperweight Auction. The principal of Block's Marble Auctions, Robert Block, followed in Stan's footsteps and has collected paperweights for over 40 years. The Paperweight Auction will run the exact same way as the monthly Marble Auctions. You can enter absentee bids until each item goes live at auction on November 11. This auction will be conducted simultaneously on the Block's Marble Auctions auction platform and on LiveAuctioneers. As with our marble auctions, we will invoice you the day after the auction and we begin shipping on that Monday. You are charged only the actual cost of shipping. Due to the weight of paperweights, shipping will be done by US Priority Mail, using Flat Rate boxes. Generally, 4 to 6 paperweights will fit in a Medium Flat Rate Box, and 6 to 8 paperweights will fit in a Large Flat Rate Box. Buyer Premium includes the LiveAuctioneers add-ons. Using our auction platform will result in a lower Buyer Premium to you.
