Bruce Elliot Tapper, a versatile professional in social anthropology, journalism, writing, and editing, served as an editor at the Smithsonian Associates Program in the early 1980s. Later, he pursued a successful career as an editor at the Library of Congress and the Smithsonian's National Museum of Asian Art.
