American and European Ceramics
Saturday November 1st beginning at 10 AM

Over 310 lots of American and European Art Pottery featuring over 70 pieces of Fulper and nearly 30 pieces of Grueby from the John Hunter and Allen Weisberger Collection. Also included are over 70 Roseville items, some 18 examples of Van Briggle, five Teco lots including a rare original lamp, two important Newcomb pieces, seven good Pewabic items, important Amphora items including several by Paul Dachsel, three major pieces of Wedgwood Fairyland Lustre, several good Royal Doulton items by Barlow and Noke and good examples of Moorcroft.

Art Glass
Saturday November 1st beginning at 3 PM

Two hundred lots of important glass including many fine examples of Tiffany, Steuben, Durand (three major pieces), Moser, Lalique, LeGras, Galle', Muller Fres (a fine cameo lamp and a large scenic cameo vase), many fine pieces of Loetz including silver overlay, over a dozen examples of English cameo and nearly two dozen Boehm and Doughty birds. There is also a wonderful Handel Jonquil reverse painted lamp as well as several pieces by Fenton, Baccarat, Lundberg, Labino, Quezal, D'Argental, Daum, Kew-Blas, Wavecrest and Mt. Washington.

Rookwood Pottery
Sunday November 2nd beginning at 10 Am

Over 375 fine examples of Rookwood from production pieces to some amazing and improtant artist signed items. There are Decorated Porcelain pieces by Conant (scenic with birds), Sax (two French Red vases), Jensen (nudes), Wilcox (two large pieces), Schmidt (harbor scene) and Shirayamadani (large vase with poinsettias).

Iris glaze pieces feature large works by Valentien with thistles, two large scenics (Schmidt and Shirayamadani), a rare piece by Valentien with irises, two great pieces by Fechheimer and Sax and an important Flowing Glaze vase by Daly.

Mat pieces include Vellum scenics by Shirayamadani with birds and one with lotus blossoms, several Arts & Crafts pieces by Barrett and Hentschel, a nice grouping of Z Glaze mat vases and an extremely rare carved lamp base by Shirayamadani with a Tiffany Shade. There is also a fine Painted Mat vase by Wilcox with roses.

Critters abound as usual with several rare sets of bookends including Indians, Seals, Sleeping Man and Turkeys. Other animal paperweights (cats, dogs, a rabbit, a fox, monkeys and elephants) will be available.


Auctions to be held at 225 East Sixth Street, Fifth Floor

Pottery and glass may be previewed on the fourth floor Monday through Friday during regular business hours through the month of October. Additional preview hours are as follows:
