Tradewinds 2012 Fall Antique Cane Auction

Tradewinds is in its 20th year of doing all-cane auctions! We began these sales in 1993 when we conducted the first all-cane auction ever to be held in America at the First International Cane Collector's Conference, held in Rockport, Maine. This, our 41st live offering, is being held in conjunction with the Eighth International Cane Collector's Conference in Chicago, Illinois. It is fitting that we can celebrate our 20th year at a collector's event, just as we began. All of us at Tradewinds sincerely thank all of our wonderful supporters over the years.

We have compiled our best gathering ever of exciting, quality examples for this special event from world-wide sources. We are offering 208 lots of carefully chosen items with many of them rare, or uncommon.

Among the fabulous highlights are the best polished narwhal cane we have yet encountered, (Est: $10000-$15000), all three of the fearsome defensive weapons curios: La Redoubtable, La Terrible & La Diabolique, (Est: $4500-$6500 each), a superb ivory cane of Moses with staff & snake, (Est: $5000-$7000), a marvelous violin cane, (Est: $8000-$10000), a beautiful gold & large amethyst decorative piece, (Est: $3000-$4000), a great sea monster on carved whalebone, (Est: $4000-$6000), a small dog Remington gun curio, a Saint-Cloud porcelain, JFK's Tiffany gold cane, a superb ivory hidden erotica, a Tiffany small Nast eagle, an Unger Brothers Indians, two Japanese ivories with shibayama, a Russian enamel tau, a barbed wire cane, an array of wonderful historic pieces, many authentic and unusual gadget and weapons cane curios, and much, much more.
