For this months auction we have the pleasure of offering items from the Estate of Brigadier General John Richard Hyde, a former Speaker of the Legislative Assembly in Quebec under Jean Lesage, the Premier of Quebec from 1960 – 1966. 18k Omega Automatic Chronometer Constellation watch with 18k band, a rare 18k Omega Automatic Seamaster Grand Luxe watch, a gentleman’s 18k H Stern watch with a sapphire face and inset diamond and a ladies 18k Omega watch with 18K band. Birks platinum diamond and sapphire ring, a platinum diamond and sapphire brooch, an 18k yellow custom made bracelet weighing 60 grams. Birks "Chantilly" Pattern sterling silver tableware, of Birks "Saxon" sterling tableware and some additional Georgian sterling tableware. There is also some individual flatware by Georg Jensen as well as pieces of continental silver. The most magnificent pieces of sterling include a stunning London hallmarked paw footed asparagus warmer in pristine condition coming in at 2653 grams, a set of four superb Georgian style Sheffield sterling candle holders at 2400 grams as well as a pair of truly outstanding hexagonal form Birmingham sterling sugar shakers decorated in the Nouveau style. Canadian collector coins all graded by I.C.C.S. - considered to be Canada's premier grading company, a number of sterling link chains, a pair of Montblanc Meisterstuck fountain pens with 14k nibs as new. Some interesting framed antique brass Middle Eastern jewellery molds and a silver papal medal in velvet case. For the philatelists, we bring you some intriguing 19th century American revenue stamps, 19th cent US postage due stamps, early Canadian mint stamps, USA airmail stamps and other sheets of collectable stamps.
