Day 3 | Rare Books from The Bentley Estate
Ahlers & Ogletree is honored to present the lifetime collection of important historical books and documents from The Estate of Fred Bentley, Sr. With more than 900 lots on offer, highlights include the rare opportunity to acquire a William Shakespeare's Second Folio dated to 1632, an Abraham Lincoln signed appointment document, an 1818 copy of the Declaration of Independence as published by Benjamin Owen Tyler, and Mark Twain's 1st Ed. printing of Tom Sawyer. An avid reader and collector his entire life, Mr. Bentley gave generously to his community in support of this passion by founding the rare book rooms at Brenau College and Kennesaw State University.
