The April 9 Asian Art auction, to be held in Philadelphia, presents a selective array of Fine and Decorative Arts from China, Japan and Southeast Asia. Highlights include paintings by esteemed 20th century Chinese artist Ding Yanyong (1902-1978) from a private American collector, not seen since the 1970's; a very rare 12th century bronze figure of Guanyin from the Dali Kingdom, Yunnan; Chinese Imperial and export porcelains from private and institutional collections; Archaic and Qing dynasty jades; and fine Japanese porcelains, lacquers and cloisonne objets including a fine Hirado vase painted by Imamura Rokuro.
