Decorative Arts & Historic Objects

Join us for our April 13th sale of Advertising, Canadiana & Historic Objects, featuring The Greg Hisey Collection. In the historic town of Maple Creek, Saskatchewan, Greg Hisey achieved his lifetime goal of building a global destination for travellers seeking presence of the past. Inspired by Hisey?s early life experiences, ?Ghost Town Blues? was a miniature ghost town bed and breakfast where travellers from across the world flocked. Working with themes of early western transportation, veterinary and general store, Hisey?s collection included advertising and furnishings with a Western ghost town flair, and all will be featured in this sale. Also featured in this sale, another private western Canadian collection includes late 19th Century automata, Toronto Lithographing Company Political Campaign posters, and an offering of exquisite figural mangle boards. Canadian folk art is also featured, including three special works from Nova Scotia?s famed artist, Maud Lewis. Other highlights include decorative art glass, silver, bronzes, and early lighting. From the east coast to the west coast, to beyond the shores of Canada, this sale is one of Miller & Miller's most diverse, and is not to be missed!
