Lots 1-64: The Property of the late bookseller David Loman, the majority to be sold without reserve

David Loman (1936-2004) specialised in books on the Near and Far East, particularly travel, archaeology & antiquities, and linguistics. A quietly spoken, erudite and charming man, he was widely-read, had a vast knowledge of books and their rarity and knew his market well recognising the importance of condition. The main part of his stock, reference library and private collection was sold at Bloomsbury Auctions in 2006; these are his remaining books.
