Established in 1894 as the city's first private club, the Houston Club has been the home away from home for many of Houston's most prominent individuals including William Marsh Rice, John Henry Kirby, Jesse Jones, M.D. Anderson, Hugh Roy Cullen, Ben Taub, George H.W. Bush, Robert Mosbacher and James A. Baker III.
As the building at 811 Rusk St. is scheduled for demolition, EVERYTHING MUST AND WILL BE SOLD TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER! From antique furnishings, light fixtures, pianos to an entire workout gym, barber shop and commercial restaurant equipment.
