NEW YORK, NY -- On Wednesday, March 12, 2025 at 10am, Doyle will host the next sale in the popular Doyle+Design auction category. This highly-anticipated sale showcases a wide range of Modern and Contemporary furniture, art and design by prominent designers, makers and artists of the 20th and 21st centuries.

Art
Highlighting the fine art section are three bronze sculptures by Harry Bertoia, as well as a 1929 bronze figure of Pegasus by Jacques Lipchitz and a 1968 stainless steel abstraction by George Rickey. A standout piece is an iconic Table Bleue by Yves Klein with its distinctive IKB ultramarine pigment. Paintings and other artworks feature examples by Joe Brainard, Sol LeWitt, Jean Miotte, Lucio Munoz, Francis Newton, Christian Rosa, Khen Shish and Tadasky (Tadasuke Kuwayama).

Furniture
Notable furniture offerings include Hans Wegner’s iconic Papa Bear armchair and ottoman; dining tables by Vladimir Kagan, Christian Liaigre and Emile Jacques Ruhlmann; and a collection of twelve lots of signature furnishings by Gustav Stickley and L. & J.G. Stickley. Other designers represented in the sale include Marcel Bergue, Vico Magistretti, Louis Majorelle, Sam Maloof, Maison Jansen, Paul McCobb, Eero Saarinen and Olivier de Schrijver.

Design
Certain to attract attention are a collection of fifteen assorted turned globes by Ed, Philip and Matt Moulthrop; sterling silver flatware services by Georg Jensen; and art glass by Dale Chihuly, Dan Dailey, André Dubreuil, Lalique, Marvin Lipofsky, Leendert van der Linden and Steuben.
