This auction is featuring The Brooklyn Collection, entirely put together from an Estate in Brooklyn, New York. The estate was consigned by a gentleman who has been collection coins and antiques through out his life. With a specific interest in Silver Dollar?s, he would spend his time collecting rolls of coins from various department stores, pawn shops, and Commercial Loan Offices. When we uncovered this hoard, the sheer size of it was unprecedented. Through out the 40?s, 50?s and 60?s he acquired over 1,300 coin rolls of all different types. In his collection, we found the original numismatic advertisements, catalogs, and magazines he would use to collect these pieces during this time.
