An Architectural Vision

On May 30th, LAMA and Wright are honored to present An Architectural Vision: A California Collection, showcasing an array of modern and contemporary works by groundbreaking figures. While the artists and designers featured in this auction are associated with various eras and movements, they each share a dedication to exploring the possibilities of form and medium. From Gerrit Rietveld's De Stijl-influenced Elling sideboard to Theaster Gates' abstract mixed media construction, Ranch Style with Sumi Sky, 2010, to multiple compositions from Harry and Val Bertoia, to woodworking by George and Mira Nakashima, this offering is a reflection of the singular yet expansive sensibility through which it was curated. A testament to the collector's keen eye, these impressive examples were selected over time for their individual merits and to create delightfully surprising juxtapositions in space. Works will also be available from Paul Klee, Charles Green Shaw, Man Ray, Norman Bluhm, Dimitri Hadzi, Charles Arnoldi, Damien Hirst, Frank Lloyd Wright, Henning Koppel, Poul Kjaerholm, Alvar Aalto, Pierre Jeanneret, Charles and Ray Eames, Gene Summers, and many others.
