Ancient Objects, Native American & Tribal Art

The inaugural Taos Auction Co. sale features an extensive collection of art and artifacts from around the globe. This includes Egyptian, Greek, and Roman artifacts, as well as Near Eastern and early Indian and Asian art from China and Japan. The auction also presents Southeast Asian art from regions such as Java, Cambodia and Thailand, extending to the Himalayas. Additionally, there is Native American art, including Plains beadwork, Northwest Coast and Inuit objects, alongside Southwest art comprising Navajo rugs and jewelry, Pueblo pottery, and carvings. Furthermore, the sale encompasses a selection of European antiques and fine art, with noteworthy 19th-century American paintings. Finally, the sale also includes taxidermy and an impressive collection of pre-historic fossils.
