The high bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser of that lot. The auctioneer is the sole determinant as to who is the successful bidder. Once an item is declared as "sold", the successful bidder assumes full risk and responsibility for the purchased lot. In the event of a disputed bid between an on-site and internet bidder, the auctioneer shall determine that the on-site bidder shall be the winning bidder. 6. If you have questions about an individual item, please contact the auctioneer before bidding. 9. A live auction moves at an uncertain pace, so any ending time displayed will not be accurate. 10. The system may incorrectly indicate that an internet bidder is the winning bidder. On-site bidding has priority over internet bidding in the event that similar bid amounts are entered simultaneously. In all instances, the auctioneer's declaration is the sole determinant of a winning bid. 11. Should you have any questions on these and other terms and conditions of sale, please call us at 1-859-289-5720 prior to the auction.

Sale Information
Overstreet and Mark Mattox Auctioneers is pleased to present portions of two fine authentic prehistoric artifact collections. The first portion of the Auction will be comprised primarily of the Randy Walker Indian Artifact Collection of Manchester Ohio. Mr. Walker has been an avid collector of quality artifacts since the early 1970s, with a definitive emphasis on documentation and authenticity. Along with the many quality artifacts that he managed to collect over the years from prominent collectors, he also was very fortunate to have had the opportunity to surface hunt many well-known sites in Northern Kentucky and Southern Ohio. A great many of the lots offered for sale from his collection are from the well recognized and famous Fox Field Fort Ancient Site in Mason County, Kentucky. In addition, the first half of the Auction will also contain a portion of the personal finds from the Kit Carson collection. These fine and colorful lots of flint were found over a lifetime of surface hunting in and around the Humphreys County, Tennessee area. The second half of this Auction will be comprised of a portion of the Herb Gsell collection. Herb was a very well know game hunter who owned a large deer farm in Pennsylvania and displayed his collection there in the lodge for many years. His collection was built primarily on quality Texas and South Central flints. Among the points being offered from this collection are several hard to find quality Bird Points and a large number of flints that are made of high grade semi-translucent gem-type materials. Please join us to take advantage of this opportunity to participate in collecting a piece authentic and well-documented history. This is an Overstreet Certified Auction. Overstreet is dedicated to the future study and collecting of all legally obtained and authentic prehistoric Native American artifacts. We do not in any way promote the sale of modern reproductions or fakes in any form or fashion. All artifacts presented in this sale have been extensively screened by Overstreet for authenticity as well as alterations of any kind. They have been found to be 100 % authentic and unaltered, unless specifically stated otherwise. For more information on Overstreet, our contributions to artifact collecting, beliefs and policies, visit their website.
