Fine and Decorative Arts

Our upcoming March Fine Art Auction will feature a strong selection of American paintings, including works by Edward Redfield, Fern I. Coppedge, Daniel Garber, John Folinsbee, George William Sotter, Walter E. Baum, and William Francis Taylor. These artists, closely associated with the New Hope School and Pennsylvania Impressionism, continue to draw serious collector interest and institutional attention. A rare Qing dynasty imperial tribute fan from the Qianlong period (1736-1795), produced in the renowned Guangzhou workshops will also be offered. It is one of only a handful of such court-quality fans known to survive today. Read more about this remarkable piece on our blog page. Silver collectors will find two remarkable Tiffany flatware sets in the Chrysanthemum Vermeil and San Lorenzo patterns, alongside an Aesthetic Movement sterling tea and coffee service. Other offerings include a 5.29 carat platinum diamond ring, Cartier 3 carat diamond platinum brooch, Breitling Chronomat gold & steel automatic chronograph, Imperial Symphonion disc music player, Louis Vuitton travel trunk, and bronze sculptures. Autographs from the Gibbs collection including; Presidents Martin Van Buren, Millard Fillmore, and Ulysses S. Grant. Other autographs include; Robert E. Lee, Jefferson Davis, Mark Twain, P.T. Barnum, Grover Cleveland Alexander, and Nikola Tesla. World War II archive related to an 8th Army Air Force B-17 gunner.
