Join Julien?s Auctions October 22nd online and LIVE from the Musicians Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville, Tennessee, for a celebration of rock and roll history. Played, Worn & Torn returns to Music City with more than 450 lots of stage-played instruments, performance-worn clothing, handwritten lyrics and artwork tied to some of the most recognizable names in popular music. The sale takes place Thursday, October 22, inside Nashville's Historic Municipal Auditorium. The Bill Wyman Collection The sale marks the 90th birthday of Bill Wyman, who turns 90 on October 24 and played bass for The Rolling Stones from 1962 to 1993. More than 30 pieces from his personal collection are offered, led by a 1970s Dan Armstrong Model 341 electric guitar with the sliding pickup. Also from Wyman's collection is a 1965 Vox AC30B combo amplifier with its original footswitch, and four framed Some Girls posters of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Wyman and Charlie Watts. The posters come with Wyman's own recollection of why the band's faces replaced the famous women originally planned for the 1978 album cover. Liberace's Crystal Concert Grand A 1983 Baldwin SD-10 concert grand piano, covered in thousands of Aurora Borealis crystals, was made for Liberace and played by him from 1984 to 1986. It appeared on The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson in 1984 and again on September 23, 1986. It was also onstage at Caesars Palace in March 1986 and during his Radio City Music Hall run in October and November 1986, the last performances of his life. The piano is photo matched. Led Zeppelin, David Bowie and Elvis Presley A UK pressing of Led Zeppelin II is signed on the cover by the band. John Bonham obtained the signatures himself in early 1980, months before his death, for a friend at Studley Conservative Club, where Bonham drank and played snooker. David Bowie and South African artist Beezy Bailey are represented by a signed 1995 mixed media and collage canvas, The Death of Mama Wati, measuring 305
