OUTSTANDING TOY TRAIN AUCTION

Stout Auctions is honored to offer at public auction the trains from the estate of Albert F. Otten, Part I. Al was an avid train collector since childhood and one of his first jobs was working for Lionel Trains in New York. After Al and his family moved to Little Rock, Arkansas he became a member of the Lionel Collectors Club of America (LCCA) HM-429. Al was instrumental in the growth and development of the LCCA serving 4 terms as President and also as Vice President, Assistant Secretary, Director and on many committees. Al Otten was also a member of the Train Collectors Association (TCA) HR-75-7892 and the Lionel Operating Train Society (LOTS). Al's primary focus in collecting was Lionel postwar and modern era trains. He was fascinated with scarce variations, prototypes and trains with clear shells. Part I of the sale will feature Lionel postwar including: F-3 diesels, motorized units, switchers, GP7 and GP9 diesels, rolling stock, 6464 boxcars, accessories, ZW transformers, steam engines, service and repair manuals, books and American Flyer S gauge. The Lionel modern era will be highlighted by clear shell items, prototypes, factory error unmarked items, Disney set, gold plated Hudson, boxed sets and original parts. Also included will be MTH, LGB G scale and LGB Circus set. As a result of his lifetime involvement in the LCCA there will be many LCCA trains, convention cars and other items. This auction will also include some trains from other collections. Part II of the Otten collection will be in November 2013 auction and will feature a Lionel 2333 clear shell Santa Fe F3 diesel, green 3927 track cleaning car and many other fantastic prewar and postwar trains. This once small hobby that began at childhood developed into a lifetime of train collecting that assembled a great collection and made many friendships that Al treasured. Fran Otten, Al's wife and family hope that the trains will be treasured and enjoyed by the new owners as much as Al did. For more informati
