On this the heartfelt fiftieth anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, John McInnis Auctioneers is proud to offer an astonishing collection. A THREE DAY AUCTION SUMMIT - HISTORY IN THE MAKING THIS AUCTION BEGINS AT 3:00 PM EST LOTS 1-360 Session I will feature a complete Warren Commission Report autographed by each of the commission members, original Associated Press wire bulletins from the days surrounding the President's death, the Wall Street ticker tape from the day of the shooting; and will also include 'A Tribute to Jackie' photographs by Jacques Lowe; Jackie & JFK engagement photographs by Hy Peskin; a group of political items from Labor Leader Angelo Georgian; an extraordinary Ernest Hemingway collection of handwritten letters, signed books, private photographs, and bullfighting memorabilia from the Estate of his personal secretary and close friend Roberto Herrera; three watercolors painted by President elect John F. Kennedy in 1960; a doodle by the President; letters from Lee Harvey Oswald's mother; Martin Luther King Jr.; recently declassified Cuban Missle Crisis documents and notes of Dave Powers. During today's auction preview A "Moment of Silence" will be recognized at 1:30 pm EST, when the shots rang out and at 2:00 pm EST at the time of his passing.
