Part II of the Richard Synchef Collection with Fine Literature. Browse over 200 lots of Beats, Counterculture & the Avant Garde, including all works written by Yippie founder and influential activist of the 20th century, Abbie Hoffman, most signed by him. Also works by Paul Krassner and Timothy Leary. In addition to studies published by Leary, is a nice library of books on LSD, marijuana and other drugs and their social issues in the 1960s. Plus a nice group on the Grateful Dead. Also some choice works from Allen Ginsberg, Lawrence Ferlinghetti and others, many signed. The Synchef collection includes a few early and very rare handbills from the 1960s Counterculture including a Yippies call to action at the Democratic National Convention, and a handbill with the first use of the term "The Summer of Love." Plus over 100 lots of fine literature including Edgar Rice Burroughs, Jack London, D.H. Lawrence and many others.
