Antique and Modern Jewellery

This month?s auction of Antique & Modern Jewellery offers everything from the quirky to the ultra-luxurious. If you?re looking for a single-stone ring, we have a (quite literally) perfect example in Lot 121. At a colour E and graded as internally flawless, this diamond is a very rare specimen, and with good reason ? it?s difficult to see the diamond through the sparkle and brilliance. Other single-stone diamonds of note in this sale include Lot 140 with a huge centre stone of 4.05ct, as well as Lots 182 and 170 with a beautifully cut emerald centre stone of 2.11cts. If you?re looking for quirky, we also offer a few pieces of Russian origin, including a colourful early 20th century diamond and gem-set bracelet (Lot 73) or a more classic look, an early 20th century Russian gold diamond bar brooch with a beautiful rose-cut diamond cluster (Lot 214). There is also a fantastic selection of natural pearls in the sale, which always prove exceptionally popular. Lot 53, a delicate and feminine singlestrand necklace would make an excellent addition to any jewellery collection, as would Lot 145, with the addition of an old-cut marquiseshape diamond clasp. If you?re on the hunt for the perfect something for Mother?s Day, the designer section offers a fantastic selection as ever with pieces to suit all budgets. A Tiffany & Co. diamond ring is always a winner, and we offer several for under £1,000 in Lots 274, 275 and 276. There are also beautiful pieces from Dior (Lot 261), Cartier (Lot 256) as well as a vintage Kutchinsky diamond dress ring (Lot 266). Finally, our front and back cover lots (458 and 578 respectively) are our showstoppers for this auction. Lot 458 is an exquisite mid 20th century diamond bracelet set with luminous emeralds and is guaranteed to turn heads. Lot 578 is one of our more decadent pieces, made with 4cts of diamonds and lined with sapphires, this stunning cocktail watch is vintage glamour incarnate.
