RETIRING COLLECTORS ART AND ACCESSORY AUCTION
Selling over 250 Painting and decorative accessories from a retiring collectors estate, 17th-20th Century porcelains and African mask collection. Also part 2 and remaining archive from the Estate of Alfred and Betty Statler who are well known NYC photographers, this collection was appraised and sorted and will be sold large lots and smaller lots. They traveled extensively and worked for major magazines including TIME. Part 3 of the Auction will be 19 paintings from Iwan Denysenko, he was born on September 23, 1910 in Ukraine. His formal studies and training in art included the Professional School of Fine Arts, Charkov, The Institute of Fine Arts, Charkov under Prof. Padalka and The Academy of Fine Arts, Kyiv under Prof. F. Kzychevsky. In his early work he used a realistic painting style to portray many prominent people in Europe and South America while developing a Byzantine style in his iconography. His landscapes and later portrait work were painted in an impressionistic style. After WW2 Iwan Denesynko immigrated with his wife and son to France and later to Argentina. He arrived in the U.S. in 1961 and became a citizen 1966. In 1974 he moved to Kerhonkson, NY and continued painting commissioned Icons and landscapes until his death April 13, 2006.
