Fine European, American and Chinese Art

Chinese works of art include snuff bottles, Han Dynasty bronzes, important paintings by Zhang Daqian and Zhang Shanzi,Dragon Robes and a rare Mandarin Hat trunk complete with garment set. Also featuring fine American works including an oil painting attributed to John Frederick Kensett (1816-1872), an important artist of the Hudson River School, a historical genre scene by John W. Dunsmore (1856-1945), a large watercolor/gouache of an Atlantic salmon by Sid Bickford, a Frederick Carder Aurene glass bowl, and an 1846 embroidered sampler.European works include a rare and fine etching of ?St. John Preaching in the Desert? by Tedor Felipe de Liagno (d. 1625), a watercolor by the Portuguese artist Julio da Costa, the color lithograph ?Golden Eagle? by Edward Lear (1812-1888) from his Birds of Europe (1834), and watercolors by the Dutch artists John Hendrik Weissenbruch (1824-1903) and Jan Maandag (1850-1932).
