New Orleans Auction July Sale: Day 2 of 2

New Orleans Auction Galleries is pleased to present our July 26-27 Estates Auction, featuring an extensive selection of antique to contemporary fine art, sculpture, furniture, silver, carpets, Asian arts and more. The two-day sale offers an important grouping of Southern regional art, including a William H. Buck painting from the estate of renowned Baton Rouge architect A. Hays Town. In addition to several early paintings by George Rodrigue, the auction features works by other New Orleans artists Ida Kohlmeyer, James Michalopoulos, Jose Maria Cundin, Alexander Drysdale, Lin Emery and many others. Additional fine art offerings include a selection of Central American, South American and Mexican art, including works by Rufino Tamayo, Pedro Friedeberg and others. The sale also features an extensive collection of jewelry and designer furs from the estate of New Orleans socialite Mickey Easterling. Other highlights include an array of Japanese Edo and Meiji period woodblock prints, a fine selection of Chinese jades and a collection of Georgian British armorial silver.
