The October 12, 2014 Modern Art & Design Auction will feature an exemplary work by Mike Kelley, an important Maria Pergay Flying Carpet daybed, a rare floor lamp by Alberto Giacometti, an early Robert Irwin painting from 1957, and a KEM Weber Airline chair. Fine Art highlights include paintings by Stanton Macdonald-Wright, Karl Benjamin, Richard Pettibone, and Jean-Pierre Yvaral; works on paper by Tom Wesselmann, Raymond Pettibon, and Nancy Rubins; multiples by Andy Warhol, Ed Ruscha, Roy Lichtenstein, Ken Price, Robert Rauschenberg; and sculptures by Harry Bertoia, Elizabeth Catlett, and Frank Gallo. Design highlights include a large group of custom Roy McMakin designs, a selection of Paul Laszlo furnishings, an Ueli Berge Non-stop sofa, and designs by George Nakashima, Greta Grossman, Finn Juhl, Walter Lamb, and Frank Lloyd Wright.
