Cowan's November 21, 2014 American History Live Salesroom Auction will feature over 300 exceptional lots, including Alexander Gardner's highly important two-volume work, the Photographic Sketch Book of the Civil War, as well as several large format photographs by Gardner, Mathew Brady, A.J. Russell, and George Barnard; the Manuscript Archive of Confederate General Kenton Harper, with several important documents signed by General Thomas "Stonewall" Jackson; collection of Napoleon Bonaparte signed letters and documents; and two fine daguerreotypes of California pioneer, Nathaniel Miller. In addition is an extensive archive of "Burlesque Queen" Lois DeFee.
