Conditions of sale for auction: All property is sold AS IS and Riverview Estate Auctions does not make any guarantees, warranties, or representations, expressed or implied, with respect to the property or the correctness of the catalog or other description of the authenticity of authorship, provenance, exhibitions, literature, or historical relevance of the property or otherwise. No statement anywhere, whether oral or written, shall be deemed to be such a guarantee, warranty, or representation. Riverview Estate Auctions shall have no responsibility for any error or omission. We make no representation or warranty as to whether the purchaser acquires any reproduction rights in the property. Prospective bidders should contact Riverview Estate Auctions with any questions before bidding. We reserve the right to withdraw any property before sale. All bids are per lot as numbered. We reserve the right to reject any bid. The highest bidder will be the purchaser. In the event of any dispute between bidders, or in the event of doubt on our part as to the validity of any bid, the auctioneer will have the final discretion either to determine the successful bidder or to re-offer and resell the article in dispute. If any dispute arises after the sale, our sales record is conclusive. All transactions must be complete before property is shipped. Property will not be shipped until payment has been made via certified check, money order, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, or wire transfer. If an article sold cannot be delivered by reason of theft, breakage, or other damage prior to shipment, the sale shall be deemed canceled without any liability on the part of Riverview Estate Auctions. All merchandise must be paid for and shipping arranged as soon as practicable following the sale. Riverview Estate Auctions staff will assist in shipping smaller items directly at our discretion; we strive to keep shipping costs low. All large objects and large paintings/framed works or items that include glass must be shipped by outside shipper, but Riverview Estate Auctions staff will be happy to assist in this process. Merchandise not paid for within seven days may be re-auctioned or resold without further notice to the purchaser, the account will be reported to Live Auctioneers as a non-responsive bidder, and the bidder will not be able to participate in any further auctions. Riverview Estate Auctions is in the business of locating items, putting them up for auction, selling them, and shipping them. Riverview Estate Auctions is not in the business of collecting delinquent accounts receivable and finds the need to do so to be a waste of its resources. Therefore, when a bidder unilaterally violates the terms and conditions by not paying as agreed, forcing Riverview Estate Auctions to use valuable time and effort for non-income producing purposes, a 20% restocking fee, with a minimum fee of $50, shall be applied and collected. A 20% restocking fee also applies to merchandise rejected by the buyer due to reasons other than misrepresentation by Riverview Estate Auctions. All sales are final. No lots are sold on approval. Placing a bid is a legally binding obligation. There are no returns or exchanges. By signing up to bid and by bidding, bidder agrees not to violate the payment provisions of these terms and conditions. Bidding on merchandise automatically constitutes agreement with the terms and conditions outlined above.
