August 8, Estate Auction

Michaan's August auction property spans designs of the times, from modern Jensen/Koppel jewelry to the nautical navigation of yore. The Jewelry Department often features a variety of quality stones and certified jadeite jade. Select Asian works of art have also been chosen for Michaan's monthly sales, with fine jade carvings, porcelains and scrolls often seen at auction. Commonly held among Fine Art offerings are paintings and sculpture. The Furniture & Decorative Arts section regularly includes period decor and furniture. Highlights for the month of August include a modern sterling silver Georg Jensen jewelry suite designed by Henning Koppel, a four color glazed Asian dragon motif porcelain vase, an oil on panel titled ?Russian Landscape? after Leon Gaspard and a brass and ebony sextant made in Liverpool. In addition, Michaan's Coin & Stamp Department will feature various U.S. silver coins at auction.
